Description
Build Beyond is one of the few clinically focused conference event tailored to working with survivors of trafficking. Taught by subject matter experts, this annual conference goes beyond the basics, sharing effective clinical models and best practices for human trafficking recovery services. The 2021 conference focus was understanding and developing treatment strategies for “bottoms”; victims whose survival strategies include recruiting others.
Objectives
Conquering the Game: Understanding Street Values & Exploitation
- Learner will identify two strengths of utilizing dimension versus categorical strategies to understand recruitment.
- Learner will identify three possible pathways to recruitment behaviors.
- Learner will identify two interview strategies for understanding survival belief systems leading to aggressive behavior.
- Learner will identify three strategies to intervene in survival-based aggression / aggressive behavior.
